5-Seater Mini Xylo Car

Mahindra is on the move of creating a shortened Xylo version measuring somewhere between three and four meters. The downsized mini xylo is already out for some weather testing and is running below 1.5 liters. This was made possible through the reduction of the bore and stroke and by removing one of its cylinders.  The current size and the diesel engine capacity of the mini xylo will enable it to be classified as a small car thereby giving the benefit of about 12% less is excise duties. It is also expected that the new car will give rise to a new segment.
