I learned how to get the best insurance rates when I took a required college course.  The professor was very excited about how much the insurance industry has been changed by the Internet and showed the class how helpful online Auto Insurance Guides are. He demonstrated examples of people who had saved a lot of money when they used the guides to understand and choose coverage.  As soon as class was over I went home and checked my own policy.  That is when I learned I was overpaying for unneeded coverage.  Not only did I save money that year, all of the online research earned me an “A” in the course.
