Improving Search Engine Ranks

I always search for keywords related to my own business to see what is going on with our ranking in the search results, and what is going on with our competitors. Last month I noticed that my site had dropped from the third to the fourth position for my main keyword. I spoke with a colleague who is a nj seo specialist, and he gave me some wonderful insights about search engine optimization on my home page. I was able to make a few edits on my site and last night when I was doing a search, my company was in the second result.
