Sometimes You Just Need Money Advice

I raised my son to be independent and work through his problems himself, before asking for help.  He became so dedicated to that philosophy that, when he recently lost his job and couldn’t pay his bills, he was overwhelmed and not sleeping at night, especially with all the creditors calling.  I stopped by one day and suggested he call a debt management company.  He had been so overwrought that he’d overlooked the obvious and, when he got some help, he was able to get his finances in order again, since he’d started another job.  I also mentioned to him that sometimes even independent thinkers need advice, especially when it comes to money.
