Brother Smarter Than I Thought He Was

February 9th, 2010 by admin

My brother is smarter than I give him credit for being. When my mother told us that we could both get new cell phones, we were excited. My brother already knew what kind of phone that he wanted and where he was going to get it from. His friend had told him about a website on line that has free gifts and mobile contracts. When he showed me the site, I could not believe all of the free gifts we had to choose from. We both ordered our phones from the site and my mother was also impressed with the price that we got the phone for.

It seems that with the number of people choosing to go with satellite TV over cable growing larger every single day, you might think that the cable companies would start getting into the fray with better prices. That day may indeed come, but for now, nothing yet from the cable companies.

February 3rd, 2010 by admin

There is no question about whether using renewable resources will save money for the average consumer. What causes most people to hesitate is the initial costs involved in installing solar or windmill electricity. People are afraid that it will be too many years after installing an electric windmill or solar panels before they see any of the savings. Anyone with basic construction skills, like using a screwdriver or hammer, measuring and cutting wood can build their own solar panels or windmill for electricity, thus practically eliminating most of the heavy start up costs that come when purchasing a manufactured or professionally made system.

Options For Fixing My Sister’s Laptop

January 28th, 2010 by admin

My sister keeps bugging me to help her out with her laptop. She has alot of junk on it so I am going to help her clean it up. We’re going to delete all the files, pictures and documents she doesn’t need and run a disk cleanup as well. I was also thinking that maybe we should download one of those registry cleaners. I’ve read that they remove the trash files from your computer and then just like that your computer runs ten times better. This is exactly what my sister needs for her laptop because now it is running slower than a turtle and has all types of issues.

Unmountable Boot Volume Blue Screen - Corrupted Hard Disk

January 27th, 2010 by admin

We all dread the unmountable boot volume blue screen. That’s why we recommend to everybody to backup important files every once and a while. If you’re harddsik can be read perfectly by your BIOS, then you can assume parts of it may be corrupted, causing the error. Log-on to your pc via Recovery Console. You can do this by pressing F8 or F7 before windows starts to load. The command depends on you system instructions. Coose Recovery Console from the Windows Boot options. When you have the command prompt, type CHKDSK/r  and press enter. This will scan your harddisk and fix errors as much as possible. This can take a long time depending on the capacity of your HDD. Please be patient and let’s hope all errors are fixed. If it says it found corrupted packets and fixed them, try doing the scan again to make sure all is clean. Then type exit to log-off from recovery console and restart your PC.

If all else fails… it’s probably time to get a new hard drive. You can have your damage drive checked by recovery technicians and try to recover your important files you still need.
