Your posterior tibial muscle and tendon complex can be an extremely important muscle tendon complex within the leg. The tendon on this posterior tibial muscle goes down the inside of the rearfoot joint and its function is associated with holding up the arch of the feet. If this muscle tendon complex is poor or does not work correctly, then your arch of the feet will probably fail. An ailment generally known as posterior tibial tendon dysfunction can easily result from posterior tibial muscle not with the ability to do its function correctly. The result will be progressive soreness and deformity at the ankle and the arch of the foot. If therapy not began it could develop into something extremely crippling.
