September 19th, 2011 by admin

Crestor is an effective prescribed medication that helps in lowering cholesterol. Rosuvastatin is the other name by which Crestor is known. As already stated one cannot consume Crestor without prescription. This medication is mainly prescribed to the adults although children of at least 10 years old suffering from high cholesterol are also prescribed Crestor.

Cholesterol medications other than Crestor, functions only by lowering levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) which is also known as bad cholesterol. Crestor functions by obstructing the production of cholesterol to decrease the level of LDL and it increases the levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) which is also known as good cholesterol.
