Where do you go for Foot surgery?

An interesting market place as there are two groups of specialists fighting for market share is the foot surgery. Podiatrists do a 3 yr surgical residency after their podiatry degree and orthopaedic foot while these ankle surgeons generally do a 1 yr foot and ankle residency after their general orthopaedics residency. So, if you need foot surgery who is the best; who do you go to?  Podiatrists like to think that there training is better as they focus just on the foot. The orthopaedic surgeons think there is better because they focus the whole body first before specialling. There is no data on the differences and at the end of the day they probably equal.
