Paint Textured Ceiling Using the Right Paint

Textured ceilings can be very sensitive to water based paint especially if they have never been painted yet. However, they are less sensitive to solvent based paints. If you decided to use latex for the first time to paint textured ceiling, the perimeter area cut in with a brush should be allowed to get completely and thoroughly dried before rolling the rest of the other paint on the remaining surface. If you rolled the paint on the surface without letting it dry, the texture may off. To prevent the problem from occurring, use oil based flat paint for this will seal the texture and will even give it a nice uniform look.
