Model Railways took Me to Far Away Places

I have been interested in trains since I was a small child. Where do these mysterious transporters go? What crosses their paths on the journey? Who travels in the passenger cars? My imagination was fueled by having my own model railways to play with in my attic playroom. It was a Christmas present. Later I found out that my mom did not think that it was an appropriate gift for a little girl. But my dad knew me and knewthat  my imagination would soar with such an opportunity. He was right. I was only limited by my lack of geography, something I have acquired over the years in many train excursions.
