Trading Places

I used to collect baseball cards when I was a kid–in fact, I still have all of them for the most part.  You felt pretty knowledgeable when you knew the differences between Topps, Fleer, and Donruss cards and which were worth more or less.  Now, collecting cards has taken on a whole new dimension.  Kids can play games with a host of different cards–it isn’t just about collecting them anymore.  And, they can make money playing games in these card tournaments.  For example, my kid had Magic The Gathering cards and he plays his friends against their cards.  These cards are worth as much as my baseball cards, but in a different manner.
