  Doing your due diligence – what does it mean exactly? Due diligence means doing all the reasonable research possible to avoid damage to yourself or your property. When we talk about doing your due diligence in tax lien investing, we mean researching as much as possible about a property before purchasing it. Was the house used as a methamphetamine lab? Are there any mechanics liens against the property? Is the property under water for part of the year? There are many questions that need to be answered before you try to purchase a property, and doing your due diligence will save you time and money in the long run.
