What is Cuboid Syndrome?

June 28th, 2010 by admin

Discomfort on the outside from the feet are not popular, but when it does come about a frequent reason for this can be a disease identified as cuboid syndrome. The cuboid is a compact bone, about half of the way down the exterior of the feet. The purpose of the cuboid bone is to act as a pulley for the tendon that goes down the outside of the ankle joint referred to as the peroneus longus muscle. Since the bone acts as a pulley, this should be really secure when the muscle pulls on the tendon, If it is not stable, then the actual bone will probably shift and stress the actual joints surrounding it. This is what brings about the problem.
