Limited Time Span in Delaware Records

I was shocked to learn that some places don’t keep all of their records. Or maybe I was just surprised that they didn’t go back as far as I thought they would. My brother-in-law was trying to get some information about his family and couldn’t get all of it. He got a hold of Delaware Vital Records offices and found that he was only able to obtain some of the information as long as it was an even that happened before 1930 for births and 1962 for marriage and deaths. We never could find out why they didn’t have records before then.
