Advice for your holiday in Venice

October 28th, 2009 by admin

Venice is one of Italy’s most beautiful and timeless cities. It is well worth a visit if you fancy a romantic getaway or culture injection. If there’s one piece of advice I’d offer anyone considering a holiday in this stunning city, though, it would be to bring plenty of maps! You may think that one map would suffice for your trip, but even for the most competent navigator is likely to get confused when the map they’re using appears to bear no relation to the streets around them. When you investigate further you’re likely to find that every map you come across is different and none are to scale! Getting lost in the winding passages is half the fun of course. But if you’re tired after a long day’s sightseeing and just want to find yourself a room at one of the many high quality cheap hotels on offer, then the novelty will soon wear off!
